
João Pereira (principal instructor)
Founder of Salsita Dance School, In the fourteen years experience in dancing, João has visited South America, Cuba, England, Paris, Malaysia and Singapore where he has learned from and met a variety of top instructors, which has given him his unique style. In Australia João was inspired and mentored by the top dancers such as Oliver Pineda, Jamie Jesus, Nestor Manuelian, Oren Soshan, Kadu Pires, Juan Ruiz, Juan Rando. João is also the promoter of the yearly event Darwin Latin Dance Festival. He have participate in the promotion of Lady Salsa, Bar at Buena-Vista, Judge at the Australian Salsa Championships in Sydney at the Australia Salsa classics and recently received an award for his outstanding collaboration towards the Latin Dance Industry in Australia.
João has been teaching for 11 years. An experience that he will use to pass on to students, both technically and styling, helping them bringing it on to the dance floor.

Cristina Zumel (Instructor)
Cristina learnt dancing from very young age, especiallising in classic ballet. Then she decided that salsa was her passion and learnt it with the cubans at her native Barcelona in Spain.
Cristina also learnt other latin dances like merengue, cumbia, samba, bachata, etc. She then moved to London where she started teaching cuban style salsa for over 7 years.
Cristina also performed dancing in many events including in front of some of the British Royalty. She also sang with many bands in London, including Son Real, Orquesta Cache, Mezcla de Londres, and others.
She then decided to travel around the world and end up staying in Darwin where she has been teaching at Salsita Dance School since.

Hailey Miles
Haley is a young and beautiful dance enthusiastic with just over 2 years of dancing. She has rapidly came up the ranks to be amongst the best female Salsa dancers in Darwin and now a keen Bachata dancer. Known for her kindness, patience and ability to share her knowledge with other she will soon become one of the best dance instructors in the region.
Haley believes dance is a way of life that should touch every man and woman in the society, it adds life fun and life in every ones souls and I have to agree with it.
