Jaime Jesus and Little Liz

Learn to Salsa, the most popular dances in the world with its Latin beats and quick tempo, the Salsa is one of the most fun and sexy that you will ever dance and Jaime y Liz have the skills to take you through the experience.  

Jaime y Liz major acheivements include: Australian Champions 2005,  and third in the World Salsa Competition 2006 at the CLUB MAYAN in Los Angeles and won numerous other major national competitions.

 

Liz Raciti, nicknamed "Little Liz" and "Lizzy Never Dizzy" she has arned       the reputation as the best spinner in Australia. Her precision, speed and control are hard to match.

Her rapid climb up the salsa ranks was spotted by one of her former instructors where he invited her not only to be a member of the LDA crew in August of 2004, but it was an invitation to become his dance partner as well.

This was the beginning of the Jaime Jesus and Little Liz chapter and Liz’s professional career was about to take off… Liz and Jaime have since been traveling all over Australia and around the world where they have been teaching workshops and performing in both national and international Events.

 

Jaime Jesus is Australia’s most undisputed talented and sort after salsa dancer and Instructor. His original style, world class performances and his ability to clearly explain the most intricate of techniques is earning him a reputation to be amongst the best salsa professionals in the world. His dance repertoire consists of Salsa On2/On1, Rueda, Samba, Cha Cha, Bachata and Lamabada/Zouk

He is the Artistic Director of Latin Dance Australia, the biggest salsa dance school in Australia teaching over 800 students per week, and the Sydney Salsa Congress which is Australia’s largest Salsa event uniting people together from all over Australia and all over the world.

He is a Judge of Australia’s most famous TV dance program "Strictly Dancing" viewed by close to 1.5million viewers every week turning Jaime into the face of salsa in Australia’s main stream population.

 

Jaime y Liz from LDA Sydney, have rapidly developed their reputation throughout Australia and the World as one of the best Salsa instructors and performers.  Jaime y Liz have been teaching in all the major capital cities around Australia (cairns, Brisbane, Hobart, Melbourne, Darwin, Perth etc. and around the famous Salsa congresses around the World (America, New-Zealand, Europe, Asia etc).

LINDY HOP AT ITS FULL SWING IN DARWIN    2 - 3 FEB. 2008

        


Learn the Swing (Lindy Hop), the staple of America social dancing with its enduring and ever-lasting popularity due to toe-taping beats and snapping dance moves.

Lindy Hop is the origine of Swing dance, emerging in the late 1920's. With the modern day jitterbugs momentum and its popularity is as strong as the beat of the Swing music, which evolved into many forms including: West Coast Swing, Rock-&-Roll, Boogie Woogie etc. becoming a dance craze Worldwide.

Whether you are learning to Swing dance for a class reunion, a fun date, or a wedding, knowing Swing make you the talk of the table. Swing is an exuberant celebration of movement and music created during the Harlem Renaissance.

Liam Honer has been teaching private lessons and regular weekly classes and workshops with JUMPTOWN (Canberra) as well as choreographer for the performance team. Liam's outstanding reputation extends as far as successful representation at "Australian Jitterbug Championships (AJC)" in Melbourne, Sydney, Lismore for the pass three years.

Carmen Cubillo, an enthusiastic dancer who fell in love with Lindy Hop at the first site. She participated in numerous workshops conducted by National and International instructors and her persistency earn her a spot at the Jumptown performance team.

Liam and Carmen are going to take you through Lindy Hop dance with simple and easy to manage move in their step-by-step method of teaching, starting from the simplest to some more complex moves, so you are able to absorb and enjoy every minute of these four different workshops.
